AND Communicator was designed with a modular concept in mind. Therefore multiple integration options are available.


Different protocols are used to communicate with various voice services. The following protocol options are available with AND Communicator:
  • SIP Protocol (A)
    • SIP is used to communicate with SIP providers or SIP capable PBX systems.

  • Communication with AND Phone Application Server (B)
    • The AND Phone Application Server (APAS) delivers additional services for AND Communicator clients. Additional services are directory integration, voice recording, broadcasting services, manager/assistant services and many more.

  • Communication with IP PBX systems (C)
    • Direct communication with IP PBX systems, like the
    Unified
    Communications Manager, delivers additional functions. This communication allows to get real time information about phone users and specific configuration information about the system.

  • Communication with IP phones (D)
    • AND Communicator is capable of detecting connected IP phones automatically. Therefore you need not to specify the parameters of the IP phone manually.
